On Sunday, December 9, the Chapel Hill Philharmonia with conductor Donald Oehler presents its “Dreams and Visions” concert. World-renowned violist and Eastman School of Music Professor George Taylor will perform Bartok’s challenging Viola Concerto. Two popular spectacular works complete the program: Debussy’s dreamy “Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun” and Tchaikovsky’s powerful Symphony #4.
The concert is at 7:30pm in Moeser Auditorium in Hill Hall on the UNC-CH campus. The program is partially supported by the Orange County Arts Commission. Admission is free. A reception will follow.
